It’s official - the 2025 installment of Valid Gains Through Video Games (VGTVG) is set for Saturday, February 22 from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM. And just like last time, it’ll be FREE and it’ll take place at the Monmouth University Graduate Center in West Long Branch, NJ. It’s going to be a great time, guarenteed!

As always, we’re committing to providing a stage to the best thinkers, so it brings us joy to announce that we’ve locked in the following two presenters to grace us with their amazing knowledge, in 2025:

  • Lindsay Cesari (Upstate New York junior high school librarian and esports coach). Her presentation is titled, “Level Up Your Curriculum with Video Game Integration

  • Zachary Hartzman (New York City high school social studies teacher and author of the Teaching with Video Games book series). His presentation is titled, “Teaching with Games by Zachary Hartzman

Additionally, we’re trying something new in 2025 that we’re calling, “Interactive and Playful Panels.” More information about this format is coming soon but for now know that we have Erik X. Raj leading these up so that’s bound to be a fun and functional learning experience.

Lastly, you’re invited to submit a peer-reviewed poster presentation proposal for consideration for VGTVG 2025. This is due on or before Sunday, December 1, 2024. All applicants will receive notification on or before Friday, December 20, 2024.

Have a look throughout the website to see all of the updated bit of content. And if you haven’t already done so, sign up for our email mailing list to keep updated on all things VGTVG.
